The German company Neofonie recently announced the WePad. The WePad is a tablet computer based on the open source operation system Linux and the german answer to the Apple iPad. A couple of lucky press officials got a first presentation of the new tablet.

The WePad is supposed to be released this summer at a price around 400-600 EUR.

Unfortunately the videos are availible in German only at the moment but I am sure there will the Englisch versions soon.
