SeeSaw Internet TV Launches Today

There’s nothing worse than missing an episode of Top Gear, and realising that you forgot to Sky+ it… trust me, i’ve done it!

Obviously, being the techy geek that i am, i am fully up on internet ‘catch up’ TV and so would watch that missed episode on BBC’s iPlayer. Loads of people are now doing this, and internet TV is growing. It is the future, whether we like it or not.

Today we welcome a newcomer to the party – Arqiva’s SeeSaw launches with 3,000 hours of content, aggregating programs from BBC Worldwide, Channel 4 and Channel Five.
ITV are yet to appear as they are more reluctant to offer thrid party content deals. You will find some ITV programs on their though, through SeeSaws deals with independant producers.

It’s a free service, and Arqiva have promised no display ads, and very few ads within programmes, which can only be a good thing.

More content is being added all the time, with an estimated 2000 hours worth by end of June.

Do you make use internet catch up services? Let us know if you have any alternative sites in the comments.
